There will be a reception for 3 new exhibits on Friday April 8 (rescheduled from April 1 due to the storm) from 5 to 7 pm. The three shows include Design for the Stage: The Scenic Art of John E. Bielenberg in the Clifford Gallery. Plus a whole new body of work has gone up in this ongoing, ever-changing exhibit in the Corridor Gallery curated by the participating artists. From April 1 through the summer, artists of the Downtown Gallery in Washington, Maine are the exhibiting artists - Joan Freiman, Carol Sloane, Phyllis Janto, Priscilla Cross, Megan Cafferata, Suzanne Phillips, Barbara Vanderbilt, Ieva Tatarsky, Cynthia White, Mary Boothby and Carolyn Brown. All work in the cooridor gallery is for sale. The third exhibit is Nick Patterson's installation "Hanging On" in the Fallout Shelter.
The galleries are open during regular business hours - Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 5 pm and whenver the building is open for events, music lessons and by appointment. Call 338-2222 to arrange.
