Scheduled to be held at the Hutchinson Center, Digital Animation with Bill Davis is a one week course that will briefly review (to the students that took the first week's course in animation and flip books) or introduce the basic principles of animation through flipbooks and a simple animation setup, then demonstrate and teach some of the wide variety of techniques available in the digital animation realm. In addition to giving life to their artwork, the students will also have the opportunity to acquire and develop their digital imaging skills in Photoshop, Flash, and other digital programs. Basic computer skills (ability to click a mouse) and your little own flash drive for digital storage are required.
Bio:Since 1971, Bill Davis, as Designer, Director, Animator and President of The Davis Artworks and later, Artbear Pigmation, has designed and developed a wide variety of images, characters and animation for Television (PBS, Cable & Broadcast), home video programming, and Print that span the diverse range of ethnic, social, work, age, and ability environments seen in the world today. Clients include Children’s Television Workshop (Sesame Street), HBO, WGBH Boston, CBS, AT&T, Nickelodeon/Nick JR., Slim Goodbody, The Hip Hop Health program and a host of others. Pottery was added to the creative soup in 2003 and became the main outlet for non-commissioned creativity. Presently living in Belfast, Maine with wife, Kelly Kelsey-Davis and a frequently drawn terrier named Abigail.
