Art Fun Day at Searsport Middle and High Schools        Searsport High School and Middle School held a Art Fun Day on Thursday Dec. 16 - I brought some materials from Waterfall Arts - a painting done by a young artist/professional artist team, a slide show, photographs, a mysterious wooden foundry pattern, paper and pencils. While we talked about making art, art + nature, eco-artists, who's a good drawer and classes and events here, I asked the students to draw an image of moving water - abstract, surreal or representational. Some of them are posted above. I was impressed with their enthusiasm for drawing and we all had a good time. The event happened in the school library which was filled with some very good art work done by teachers and students. That impressed me too.
