Searsport High School and Middle School held a Art Fun Day on Thursday Dec. 16 - I brought some materials from Waterfall Arts - a painting done by a young artist/professional artist team, a slide show, photographs, a mysterious wooden foundry pattern, paper and pencils. While we talked about making art, art + nature, eco-artists, who's a good drawer and classes and events here, I asked the students to draw an image of moving water - abstract, surreal or representational. Some of them are posted above. I was impressed with their enthusiasm for drawing and we all had a good time. The event happened in the school library which was filled with some very good art work done by teachers and students. That impressed me too. Thanks to Jeff Shula and Ron Bisbee for inviting Waterfall Arts to participate!
