Adam Natale of Fractured Atlas, will present a Survival Guide for Artist/Arts Org at Waterfall Arts Belfast on Wednesday, October 6 beginning at 7 pm. Natale, the Director of Membership & Program Development at Fractured Atlas will talk about some key services, programs, and resources that can help artists and organizations with the business side of their work -- the "unsexy" side that artists generally do not like thinking about. These business-related services allow for a focus on creating while maintaining the infrastructure of art businesses. We'll learn about the services offered through Fractured Atlas, a national, nonprofit arts service organization with over 13,000 members across the country. We'll also discuss other local, state, and national organizations that offer resources artists and organizations can take advantage of. We'll finish with a Q&A regarding arts advocacy/civic engagement, fundraising, jobs in the arts and in arts administration specifically, tips on grantwriting, social media/new technology, topics/issues that the arts field are discussing, networking, young/emerging arts leaders and how they can advance their careers, general career and resume guidance, getting and serving on a Board of Directors, etc. Natale will also be looking to learn more about the local arts community, so be ready to participate and provide insight!
