Bring your movie ideas and learn the fundamentals of documentary film production, post-production and distribution to create your own short documentary film.  We will look at different styles, genres and basic theories of documentary film production.  Coursework will focus on:  effective use of the video camera, the interview process, editing footage with iMovie, and adding music and voice-over.  Other video devices including cell phones and flip cameras may be used as well. Public Screening of student work on Saturday, July 31 at 8pm.
Note: Students will need access to either a portable harddrive or laptop (preferably a Mac), and access to some sort of video device: video camera, or digital still camera or cell phone with video capability.  Video cameras can be provided for an additional $50 fee.
