Shake Up Your Art : Discovering New Levels of Creativity
with Marcie Bronstein
Open to all levels, from aspiring creators to professionals.
Saturday April 3 from 9am to 4pm Tuition: $50
Do you find yourself making the same painting/sculpture/drawing/photograph over and over again? Do you long for a sense of artistic freedom but can't find a way to access it? This might very well be the workshop you've been waiting for! In five concentrated hours, we will shake up uninspired, boring ways of approaching the creation of a new work.
We'll work progressively with pencil, paint, and collage, and we will create work alone as well as collaboratively. We'll leave our inhibitions at the door, and we'll discover deep wells of creativity, inventiveness, playfulness and resourcefulness.
This is a six hour workshop, filled with fast-paced exercises, one after another, designed to free one's senses, and one's sense of creativity. inspired by the teachings of Paul Klee and writing guru Natalie Goldberg, "Shake Up Your Art" incorporates yogic principles of centering and Buddhist notions of non-attachment... all supported by a soulful soundtrack of music.
