Each season Waterfall Arts invites special guest artists to serve as an Artist-in-Residence in its mission-based Artists/Nature/Community program. Residencies vary in length, but each includes a teaching, exhibition and community presentation component. Spring. Summer, Fall/Winter, Belfast and Montville.

Spring - Earth Week Residency
April 7-April 16, 2008
A week-long residency involving area teens and college students under the direction of artist Blake Hendrickson finished up recently with an exhibition of individual and collaborative work. The residency was funded by the Maine Community Foundation Waldo County Fund.

Summer Residency in Montville - with artist Avy Claire
Building ”the nursery”
July 14-18 Monday through Friday afternoons from 1-4pm
FREE - all materials provided.
Volunteers will work side by side with Avy Claire, eco-artist in residence, to lay the design grid work for this long term project in the Montville forest. Maximum of 8 volunteers per day - register ahead of time to participate.

Fall/Winter Residency - Branching Out
Young people and professional artists are paired up to collaborate on artwork inspired by different aspects of nature. A very popular program! Look for details in October.
